Although we had all been apart from one another for months, on the 21st December of last year, the whole Elite Team was well and truly back together again for the company’s end-of-year Employee Awards celebration.
The Elite Employee Awards is an annual event that gives the senior team an opportunity to recognise staff who have demonstrated excellence – right across the Elite Group business, from finance to technical operations.
The 2020 ceremony was opened by Elite Group’s CEO, Rob Sims, who gave an upbeat and insightful Group overview and positioned the awards in terms of the positive contribution all team members had made to the company, despite the numerous challenges posed in 2020 by the global coronavirus pandemic.
Awards Organiser Chief Operating Officer Alex Cliffe, who also co-hosted the event, told us:
“This year’s accolades were more important and special than ever in terms of recognising what a truly fantastic team we have here at Elite.
We were delighted that one of our hosts was our very own resident font of inspiration and motivation, Managing Director, Adam Turton and as usual he was able to bring his humour to the proceedings and gave us all a much-needed giggle whilst also giving great introductions and summaries of the achievements and back-stories of the award winners.
What stood out to me was that, time and again, we heard how despite all the challenges 2020 threw at us, our team members still managed to deliver our services and support to our customers as their demands changed, especially around supplying all the technology needed for homeworking.”
There were eight prestigious award categories and the winners were chosen by their colleagues right across the business teams.
From ‘Employee of the year’ to ‘Unsung Hero’, Elite Group’s Employee Awards Celebration provided the ideal opportunity to properly recognise the team’s amazing resilience and sterling efforts in making 2020 – despite the obvious challenges posed by Covid-19 – one of Elite Group’s most successful yet.
Alex concluded: “It was a truly amazing way to end the year and to be able to thank our lockdown champions and customer commitment stars reminded us all of what it means to be part of team Elite Group.”
