    Frequently Asked Questions

    How long does it take to switch to a current analogue telephone line over to elite?

    Elite can apply to take over your telephone line as a ‘like for like’ transfer, meaning there will be no call disruption whatsoever. Transfer takes around 10 working days and all your current call features will be taken over by us and remain unless you inform us otherwise.

    What are Care Levels?

    A Care Level is a level determining the speed in which your fault will be responded to by Openreach. Elite offers various types of Care Levels and you can review each one before deciding which is the best for your business.

    Can I take number if we move address?

    If you are moving premises within the same exchange area you should be able to retain your current number. If you are moving outside your existing exchange you can still retain your number by porting it to our inbound number platform.

    How long does it take to install lines?

    Typical lead times are within 10 working days for analogue lines for voice calls.

    What happens with this product as part of the PSTN shutdown?

    The Openreach PSTN shutdown will be completed by January 2027. This means all analogue and ISDN services will be phased out between 2023 and 2027 and customers will need to replace them with next-generation online services such as SIP and UCaaS. Elite can provide you with consultancy on what services are best for your business to migrate to during this period.
