“The Elite team is very professional. If you go to them with an issue, the team looks around the problem, works out what the business needs and comes up with the right solution at the best price. That’s why I go back to them; I trust their judgement.”
What is ISDN?
ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) is a set of communication standards that uses digital transmission to make phone (voice) and video calls and transmit data and other network services over the traditional PSTN.
ISDN
Splits lines into multiple channels and allows multiple phones to make and receive calls simultaneously using one physical line.
ISDN2
Suited to smaller businesses that can’t afford breaks in data transmission. It allows for up to 60 channels, which can be bonded to increase bandwidth.
ISDN 30
More suited to larger businesses that need high-quality video conferencing, consistent transfer of large files or those that operate call centres.

A Tailor-Made Telephony Solution
Elite transfer and install ISDN2 and ISDN 30 lines to provide scalable solutions for any sized business, from SMEs to large corporations.
Customers can access an unlimited number of channels, which can be bonded together to increase bandwidth.
NOTE: ISDN will change over the coming years as part of the Openreach PSTN shutdown in 2027. All existing analogue and ISDN services will be end of life between December 2022 and December 2027 to make way for new and exciting next generation IP services such as hosted telephony solutions. Elite Group provides consultancy on when to migrate and what product is best for your business requirements.

Customer Reviews
“When we looked at our existing suppliers, side-by-side, Elite Group stood out as the provider who looked after our needs the best. Elite Group were always available to speak with when we contacted them, ready to offer advice, and we had access to a dedicated account manager who ensured our needs were always being met. It made sense that we would look to shift all communications to them.”
“Due to my technology background, I immediately knew that our existing telephony system was not fit for purpose, especially during the stresses of the current pandemic. It was a high priority to support our staff and our customers with the demands of the new way of working. We needed a system that we could use onsite, on the go and from home, which we could manage ourselves, but still have support on hand.”

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to switch a current ISDN telephone line over to Elite?
Elite apply to take over your existing ISDN lines as a ‘like-for-like’ transfer, meaning there will be no disruption to your existing lines. The transfer usually takes around 15-20 working days. All your current call features will be taken over and will remain unless you inform us otherwise.
What are Care Levels?
A Care Level determines the speed with which your fault will be responded to by Openreach. Elite offers various types of Care Levels and you can review each to decide which is best for your business.
Can I take my number if we move address?
If you are moving premises within the same exchange area, you should be able to retain your current number. If you are moving outside your existing exchange, you can still retain your number by porting it to our inbound number platform.
What happens with this product as part of the PSTN shutdown?
The Openreach PSTN shutdown was previously planned for December 2025 and will now be completed by January 2027. This means all analogue and ISDN services will be phased out between 2023 and 2027 and customers will need to replace them with next-generation online services, such as SIP and UCaaS. Elite can provide you with consultancy on what services are best for your business to migrate to during this period.
